    • Top 4 teams from each group
      • We will reach out to you shortly
  • Ties are broken using Battlefy’s built-in criteria
    • Tie-breaking criteria
      • The first tiebreaker is the average round win percentage of your opponents.
      • The second tiebreaker is the average individual game win percentage you had.
      • For more information, head on over to this website.
    • Rankings will not be finalized until Monday 4/17 11:59pm PT
    • Rankings on the brackets have already had tie-breakers applied to them
  • When rankings are finalized, and your team qualifies, we will reach out to you with next steps
    • All teams will have to submit pictures of their student ID cards
    • There may be additional verification procedures to ensure competitive integrity
  • If teams are unable to commit to playoffs for any reason, their spot will be filled by the next highest ranked in their group team for that season
    • For example, a team from Spring 2017 Group B could not make playoffs, therefore the 5th place team would take their place
    • A similar process would apply for Fall 2016 teams
  • Rosters cannot change substantially from the regular season
    • Generally speaking, you cannot replace 4/5 people with new players
    • We will work with teams individually on their roster changes

Format & Schedule

  • Playoffs is a 64 team Best-of-3 single-elimination tournament
    • The Semi-Finals and Grand Finals will be Best-of-5
    • Teams will NOT be seeded based on time zones
    • The default time will likely be 5pm CT for ALL TEAMS
    • We will assist teams as much as possible with scheduling, especially in the latter rounds
  • There is a break for AP & IB tests, play resumes the week of May 23, 2017
  • Teams in Spring 2017 will be seeded based on their placement within their group
    • For example, a team placing 1st in their group would be seeded higher than any team that placed 2nd in Spring 2017

Prizing

  • We are planning on prizing out the playoffs, but currently cannot share more information
  • There will be at least prizing for the top 8 teams
